Volunteer Welfare Officers - Broadstone Football Club
🫶Role: Voluntary
🤝Commitment: Flexible, with attendance for Tournaments and occasional match days. Regular Committee Meeting attendance
Broadstone Football Club is looking for a couple of passionate and caring individuals to join our team as a Volunteer Welfare Officers. Our Welfare Officers will play a key role in ensuring that all players, coaches, and support volunteers enjoy a safe, respectful, and positive environment, promoting both their well-being and development. 🧡🖤
These roles are critical to the running of any football club and without these postions filled the Club cannot allow training and matches to continue for our 250 young players into next season.
🔑Key Responsibilities:
* Be the first point of contact for any welfare or safeguarding concerns.
* Ensure that the club follows safeguarding best practices in line with FA guidelines.
* Provide support and advice to players, parents, and staff when needed.
* Work closely with coaches and club officials to foster a supportive, inclusive atmosphere.
* Work with the committee to advise and provide guidance and oversight to the committee
* Ensure coaches qualifications and safeguarding requirements are maintained
✅We would love to hear from anyone who: :
* Has a genuine passion for supporting young people and creating safe, inclusive environments.
* Has some knowledge or willingness to learn about safeguarding practices in football.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with care, if needed
* Previous experience in a similar role or within a welfare/support capacity is desirable, but not essential.
