Phase one is internal changing area upgrade. However we would love to eventually deliver this for the club and community!
Broadstone Football Club are taking on a 25-year lease of the pavilion at Broadstone Recreation Ground and gaining user rights on the football pitches. This secures football at Broadstone for at least the next 25 years and provides a stable base for the club’s activities and long-term development.
Pavilion upgrade. The club have secured funding through the Football Foundation to improve the facilities, including bigger and better changing rooms, an improved officials’ area, a designated space for male and female referees, enhanced toilet facilities with the addition of a disabled toilet, and increased storage. This is only phase one of the project: a more community-usable space in the café area is also planned, but we will require further funding to complete this next stage.
Football pitches. We have also secured funding, again through the Football Foundation, to improve the playing surfaces of all seven pitches at Broadstone Recreation Ground. This will give us user rights over the pitches and create a better playing experience for all teams. The improved area will still be available for community use and no additional gates or fences will be erected, so all recreational use of the space will remain unaffected.
